Over the past 70 years, Humane Fort Wayne has grown from a humble operation to be your trusted, comprehensive resource for animal welfare. While the region is waking up to our lifesaving and life-affirming obligation, we have outgrown our ability to contain the entire scope of our programs and services in our Hanna Street and Maycrest Drive locations.

The Sharon Bodenhafer Critter Center features twice as much space for shelter pets, so we can help more dogs and cats find their forever homes. With expanded facilities, we will have an even greater capacity to care for our community’s pets. We can’t wait to show you around!

Our capacity to serve has grown exponentially with this expansion.
Donate toward the Capital Campaign and each gift will be honored with an engraved Pet ID Tag that will adorn an iconic statue at our new facility.

Our goal is to educate fellow area animal welfare professionals on best practices and fear-free and compassionate animal care.

When you make a gift to our Humane Fort Wayne Capital Campaign, you will be making a difference that will benefit the community for generations to come.
Each gift will be honored with an engraved tag on our iconic statue installed outside of our facility. This is the perfect way to honor or memorialize your family, friends, and pets.
Payment plans are available and are payable over 2 years. That means for only $10 a month, you can forever honor your friend or family member, two-legged or four, at our new home.
