Pet Surrender
Considering giving up your pet?
Our goal is to help animals find—and keep—their forever homes. Before deciding to surrender or rehome your pet, please review our Pet Promises resources below. These resources offer assistance for those needing help caring for their pet.
We are a limited-intake shelter, so capacity may be limited at times. The waiting period for intake can be several weeks.
Rehome a Pet
We’ve partnered with Rehome, a do-it-yourself rehoming pet website, to offer a program to help you place your pet from your home directly to another.
Surrender a Pet
Owners can surrender their adoptable cats and dogs with no fee. There may be a waiting period because of our shelter size and availability. Please be honest with your answers as we will use this information to help match your pet with a new family.

Surrender a Litter
Owners can surrender their puppy or kitten litters with no fee. These programs are called Show Me the Mommy or Foster to Surrender. We understand that accidental litters happen, we are here to help you care for the litter. We will provide all of the necessary medical care, supplies, and food at no expense to you, until the litter is at least 8 weeks of age and able to come into the shelter.
