Rally your friends, families, and coworkers to raise awareness and support for animals in our community! Want to host a drive, fundraiser, or have us at your event? Fill out the request form and our staff will be in contact with you. Please note: Humane Fort Wayne’s calendar books very quickly. Typically, 90 days of advance notice is needed.
Adoption Events

Looking for a new furry friend? Help us celebrate 2 years in our new shelter!
Interact with adoptable dogs and kittens and see if one makes their way into your heart…and home! Adoptions are on a first come, first served basis for pre-approved adopters. Be sure to get your app in ahead of time and bring all dogs and kids in the home to meet adoptable pups!
Stay tuned – we’ll be posting the available pets at 7pm the night before so stay tuned!

Paws for Paralysis
September 26 | 9AM | Saint Francis Hutzell Athletic Center
Join us and NextStep Fort Wayne Paralysis Recovery Center for Paws for Paralysis! This family friendly 1-mile walk will be Saturday, September 26 at Hutzell Athletic Center located at the University of Saint Francis. Dogs and humans of all abilities are welcome to attend!
Pet Loss Support Group

Looking for support after the loss of a beloved pet? Humane Fort Wayne is proud to partner with Beyond the Rainbow Bridge and Dr. Paula Neuman to bring our community a safe and compassionate space to discuss the pet loss and the subsequent grief it creates in our lives. Join us for our next grief support group with guided discussions on September 10 at 6PM at Humane Fort Wayne – Sharon Bodenhafer Critter Center located at 901 St. Francis Drive.
