Cat Claws Belong On Their Paws:
Why Indiana Should End Declaw
Thursday, January 22 | 6:00-7:30 PM
Humane Fort Wayne | 901 Leesburg Road
Join for an evening screening of the film and discussion. “American Cats” is a 2024 documentary, directed by Todd Bieber and hosted by comedian Amy Hoggart, that investigates the controversial practice of cat declawing in the United States. What begins as a seemingly lighthearted exploration of cat culture quickly evolves into a hard-hitting exposé of a billion-dollar veterinary industry that profits from this inhumane procedure. Rep. Kyle Miller (D-82) is authoring a bill to end the cruel practice of cat declaw in Indiana.
Learn more about cat declaw in this film screening and how you can advocate for cats at the Statehouse this year. Light refreshments will be served.
Brought to you by Humane World For Animals and the Paw Project.
