Clinic Plus Services

Clinic Plus Services

Our Clinic Plus is located at 901 Leesburg Road!

Our Clinic Plus location offers a range of basic and supportive care services for dogs and cats.

While we are equipped to address a range of routine and non-emergency needs, all pets must be seen and evaluated to determine whether their condition falls within our scope of care.

For chronic or ongoing health issues — especially those already being treated by another vet — we may not be able to take over care. In those cases, we’ll help guide you back to your regular vet or another provider who can offer the right support.

We do not see sick or injured pets or emergencies here.

By Appointment Only

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9am-6pm

Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday: Closed

A $20 deposit is required to hold your appointment.

Clinic Plus Services Menu

Our Clinic Plus offers a range of basic and supportive care services for pets, including:

  • Skin and ear care
  • Mild sedated exams (known as CHILL)
  • Technician-only services
  • Euthanasia services

To use Clinic Plus services, a Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) must be established. If you’re new to the clinic, your first visit will include an exam to establish the relationship.

Pets who have received CHILL, skin, or ear care at our Wellness Walk-In Clinic will have follow-up exams and care at the Clinic Plus location.

Please note: Humane Fort Wayne operates with limited resources. If your pet’s condition is outside our scope of care, we will refer you back to your primary veterinarian or another provider better suited to meet those needs.

Ear Exam (Required)

  • Per spayed/neutered pet: $45
  • Per unaltered/intact pet 1 year and older: $65
  • Ear exam includes ear cytology if needed

The cost of skin and ear care services can vary depending on your pet’s specific condition and the level of treatment required. After an initial assessment, our veterinary team will discuss a recommended care plan with you, including any medications or follow-up needs.

Skin Exam (Required)

  • Per spayed/neutered pet: $45
  • Per unaltered/intact pet 1 year and older: $65
  • Skin exam includes skin scrape if needed

The cost of skin and ear care services can vary depending on your pet’s specific condition and the level of treatment required. After an initial assessment, our veterinary team will discuss a recommended care plan with you, including any medications or follow-up needs.

Mild Sedated Exam (CHILL)

  • Per spayed/neutered pet: $30
  • Per unaltered/intact pet 1 year and older: $50
  • New Patient – Happy Exam: $10

The cost of a Mild Sedated Exam can vary based on your pet’s weight and the type of medication needed for sedation and services sought. If your pet is new to our clinic, a Happy Exam is required before we can schedule a sedated exam. During this initial visit, our team will gather your pet’s medical history, record their weight, and determine the safest and most appropriate sedation plan.

Please note: No medical services or procedures will be performed during the Happy Exam. It is a necessary first step to ensure your pet’s safety and comfort during future care.

End of Life Services (Euthanasia Services) & After Life Services:

Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the most difficult decisions a pet owner can face. At Humane Fort Wayne, we are here to support you through this emotional time and help make the process as peaceful as possible for you and your family. At Humane Fort Wayne, you are able to be in the room where the humane euthanasia is performed.

We encourage pet owners to use the Quality of Life Assessment Guide  and Quality of Life Calendar resources to help evaluate your pet’s comfort and wellbeing. This can help you better understand if your pet may be nearing the end of life. If your pet has not been seen in our clinic, a Quality of Life Assessment may be required before the end of life service appointment is made.

  • Quality of Life Exam: $30
  • Euthanasia & Body Preparation for take home (cats/dogs): $75
  • Euthanasia & Communal Cremation (cats/dogs): $90
      • This price includes remains not returned but disposed appropriately
  • Euthanasia & Private Cremation (cats/dogs): $245
      • This price includes remains returned, urn, and fur clipping

Need a Full-Service Vet?

Humane Fort Wayne is proud to help the animals and owners of our community! However, we are not a replacement for a full-service veterinarian and do not see sick, injured, or chronically ill animals.

For the long-term health and happiness of your pet pal, we recommend regular visits with a full-service veterinarian. You can find a list of full-service veterinarians in your area at the link below.
