A New Way to Access Affordable Pet Vaccines at Humane Fort Wayne

Humane Fort Wayne is excited to introduce a new way for eligible pet owners to access affordable veterinary care. Through out Pet Promises Financial Assistance Program, qualifying clients can now apply for a Vaccine Voucher that reduces the cost of their pet’s exam and core vaccines to just $5—helping keep their pets protected and happy.

The new program is part of our continued commitment to providing accessible, sustainable, and impactful veterinary care to the families in our community.

What Is the $5 Core Vaccine Voucher?

The Core Vaccine Voucher allows eligible clients to bring their dog or cat to our wellness clinic during normal walk-in hours for just a $5 co-pay.

The voucher includes:

• A veterinary examination
• A microchip, if needed
• Core vaccines, including Rabies and Distemper

To receive a voucher, clients must first complete our Pet Promises Financial Assistance application and qualify for the 75% co-pay level or below.

More Flexibility for You and Your Pet

Previously, Humane Fort Wayne offered large-scale free vaccine clinic events on designated dates. While these events allowed us to provide care to many pets at once, we know that finding a specific day and time that works for your family isn’t always easy.

The new voucher program gives eligible clients the flexibility to visit our wellness clinic during regular walk-in hours. You no longer have to plan your schedule around a special vaccine clinic event or wait for the next event to come around.

Our goal is to make it easier for your pet to receive preventive care when they need it.

More Time With Our Veterinary Team

Your pet’s veterinary visit should be about more than simply getting a vaccine.

Because Vaccine Voucher visits take place during our regular clinic operations, our veterinary team has more opportunities to talk with you about your pet’s health. You can ask questions, discuss concerns, and learn more about keeping your pet happy and healthy.

The experience is also less rushed—for you, your pet, and our veterinary team.

Need More Than Vaccines?

If you qualify for financial assistance, you may also be able to add additional eligible veterinary services to your appointment.

Because your financial assistance application establishes your co-pay level ahead of time, any additional eligible services can be discounted according to your approved level. This means you can take advantage of your visit to address other important healthcare needs instead of waiting for another opportunity.

A Small Contribution That Makes a Big Difference

The $5 co-pay isn’t just about helping make your own pet’s care affordable. The funds collected through the voucher program will also help Humane Fort Wayne provide fully subsidized vaccine services to community members who face some of the greatest barriers to veterinary care.
