FACT FINDER

The work of Humane Fort Wayne is possible thanks to the generosity of our donors, members and corporate partners. Donations help us operate our facilities—where we provide shelter, animal care, vaccinations and veterinary care to our animals. Learn all of the ways you can support Humane Fort Wayne.

Our trained professionals work tirelessly to provide every one of our HFW animals with expert care. Click here to learn more about our Clinic services.

Our outreach resources are here to provide help when you need it the most. For more information on Clinic assistance through Pet Promises, click here.

Pet Promises connects pet owners to resources that help them keep their pets in their furever home, forever. Learn more about our Compassion Fostering and Pet Promises programs.

When pets have safe, forever homes, they thrive. And with their loving companionship, so do we. Learn about our adoption process.

You can save lives by adopting. Fill out an adoption application to find your Furever Friend today!

We receive animals from our friends at Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control to free up space in their kennels, which allows more animals to be brought into their shelter and prevents euthanasia.

We receive adoptables in transports from all over the country! View our current adoptable dogs and adoptable cats to learn more about them.

While our clinic is not a replacement for a full-service vet, we offer low-cost wellness care and vaccinations. See a full list of our wellness services here!

Fosters turn animals into pets. If you want to get involved in fostering and change an animal’s life, fill out a foster application here!

Not only did 2020 mark the merge of H.O.P.E. for Animals and the Allen County SPCA, but we reached an incredible milestone in our journey to prevent euthanasia through spay/neuter. Learn more about our mission.

One way we can help reduce euthanasia is by readily providing spay/neuter services for Fort Wayne’s pets. After 100,000+ spay/neuter surgeries and continuing to spay/neuter as many pets as possible, 70% less pets are being euthanized in our area. Learn more about our surgery services.

Our volunteers are the life force behind our organization, caring for everything from the day-to-day business in the shelter and the clinic… to the animals in the shelter, of course! Fill out a volunteer application to get involved!

The Working Cat program gives a second chance to outdoor cats and cats who would otherwise be deemed unadoptable. This program is designed to give homes to cats who want to live outside. Learn more about the Working Cat program.
